Blooms The Chemist's national blister pack recycling program
Blooms The Chemist's national blister pack recycling program
Blooms The Chemist is proud to be partnering with Pharmacycle
Offering an end-to-end blister pack recycling program in pharmacies nationwide. As blister packs are made of different materials including plastic and aluminium, they can’t be put into your yellow bins for kerbside recycling. Blisters can only be recycled using specialised technology.
As of November 2025, over 20 million blister packs have been collected with over 15,000 kilograms of plastic and aluminium being recovered and recycled.
If you would like to participate in this recycling program, visit your local Blooms The Chemist today. You can find your local Blooms The Chemist store here.

Addressing modern slavery in our supply chain
Addressing modern slavery in our supply chain
Today, 40.3 million people
live in modern slavery.
This is unacceptable. Blooms The Chemist believes it is our collective responsibility
to address and eradicate the practice of modern slavery.
That's why we have been working with our top tier supplier partners and key service
providers to assess and reduce the risk of modern slavery in our business operations.
This wasn’t something we were required to do, but it is the right thing to do.

Our charity partners
Our charity partners
We work with four major charity partners to support some of our most vulnerable people.
Since 2016, we have been an official charity partner
of Make-A-Wish® Australia.
Thanks to the support of our stores, supplier partners, and communities, we have raised over $2.3 million to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses.
Our partnership with Gidget Foundation Australia, a perinatal mental health organisation, has assisted the charity in providing vital psychological and wellbeing support for expectant and new parents.
We continue to work together to create greater awareness of perinatal depression and anxiety and provide further access to resources and information on available support. We’ve also continued to support the work of The Butterfly Tree Charity, with whom we built a much-needed maternity ward and mother’s shelter facility in Simonga, Zambia, in 2019.
Our regular donations have funded additional water access, and vital medical equipment and supplies, to rural villages in Zambia throughout the ongoing effects of the pandemic.
